Passenger Safety Requirements
Prohibited Items in Luggage
For the safety of all passengers and in accordance with international regulations, certain items are not allowed in carry-on or checked baggage. These include:
- Briefcases or luggage with built-in alarm systems
- Explosives, such as fireworks and distress flares
- Gas containers, including camping gas canisters and pepper sprays
- Highly flammable liquids, such as lighter fluid, paint, or solvents
- Flammable materials, like matches
- Substances that release flammable gases when in contact with water
- Oxidizing agents, such as bleach or peroxides
- Toxic or infectious materials, like mercury or biological samples
- Radioactive substances or devices
- Corrosive chemicals, including acids, alkalis, or wet batteries
- Items with strong magnetic fields
- Tools or equipment that have been in contact with fuel, even with minimal residues
