Passenger Safety Requirements


Prohibited Items in Luggage

For the safety of all passengers and in accordance with international regulations, certain items are not allowed in carry-on or checked baggage. These include:

  • Briefcases or luggage with built-in alarm systems
  • Explosives, such as fireworks and distress flares
  • Gas containers, including camping gas canisters and pepper sprays
  • Highly flammable liquids, such as lighter fluid, paint, or solvents
  • Flammable materials, like matches
  • Substances that release flammable gases when in contact with water
  • Oxidizing agents, such as bleach or peroxides
  • Toxic or infectious materials, like mercury or biological samples
  • Radioactive substances or devices
  • Corrosive chemicals, including acids, alkalis, or wet batteries
  • Items with strong magnetic fields
  • Tools or equipment that have been in contact with fuel, even with minimal residues
